Transports

To sponsor a dog's trip on our August 31 transport, you may choose a dog from our Petfinder site, or we will assign you a dog. Sponsorship per dog is $25. You may donate using the Paypal link on our homepage or e-mail pifanimal@yahoo.com. You will also receive a brick on our donor wall. Transporting dogs is a large part of Pay It Forward rescue efforts at the current time. Approximately every 6-8 weeks, a vanload of 40-50 dogs is taken north to Rockford, IL, where they get on another van bound for further north. In the northern area of the country, dogs of all breeds are more likely to get adopted because the homeless animal situation is less severe than in Kentucky.

Eventually, Pay It Forward would like to rely less on such transports and help to curb the overpopulation problem within Kentucky by promoting spaying and neutering.

Transporting dogs is a rewarding, but expensive endeavor. Van rental and gasoline for one trip is around $350.00. Not to mention all the vet work for all the dogs being transported! This money comes out of the pockets of Pay It Forward volunteers.
